Krish Kupathil
Krish Kupathil is an entrepreneur and partner at Avataar. He focuses on implementing AVP’s unique operating model. A core part of his role involves helping portfolio companies scale by expanding into new markets and acquiring new customers.
As a serial entrepreneur based in the US, Krish brings over 25 years of experience and an extensive network of CXO and senior executive contacts to support AVP portfolio companies in their global growth. His passion for building, investing in, and incubating start-ups has led him to successfully execute numerous start-ups, business turnarounds, high-growth models, capital raising, and successful exits. Krish focuses on businesses that leverage innovative products, solutions, and business models, using technology creatively to commercialize novel ideas.
His insights and innovative approach to commercializing digital technologies like IoT, AI, and AR will add significant value to AVP’s portfolio.
In addition to his work at AVP, Krish has been associated with various companies, including the global enterprise mobility company Mobiliya (now acquired by QuEST Global), FSMLabs (acquired by WindRiver/Intel), Azingo (acquired by Motorola/Google), ABI Health and ImaginXP, where he served in various roles as founder CEO, investor, mentor and key team member.


Mike Mulica
Mike Mulica is an advisor for AVP, based out of Chicago, US. A key strategist & farsighted investor in the areas of mobile communications, the internet, and globally scaled vertical solutions that Avataar has been able to bank upon. Mike is a mobile and internet industry veteran, playing a foundational role in pioneering the Mobile Internet and has led many highly successful companies and product introductions across the globe.
Mike spends his time as an active investor, board director and advisor to private companies and public companies. Mike’s stewardship & governance of companies in emerging technologies has ushered in new large global markets that have changed the way the world works. Mike’s advisory companies include Phone.com, Syniverse, Sierra Wireless, Openwave, RealNetworks, FusionOne, Synchronoss, Actility, Unwired Planet Inc, Airmap, AlefEdge and most recently Heal Software.


George Thangadurai
George drives business development functions for AVP based out of San Francisco and helps portfolio companies build deep CXO connects. He is a seasoned technology executive with multi-functional leadership experience, startup investments and helping grow businesses.
Earlier George spent more than two decades in Intel Corporation in senior management roles that included GM of strategy & product management enabling revenue growth from $7B to $20B+, member of the Intel Capital Investments Committee and GM of Services Incubation with 3 successful launches. He was awarded the prestigious Intel’s Achievement Award for contributions to business growth.
He leads global business for Borqs Technologies, a leading IoT company, with a key role during its Nasdaq IPO process and growing global revenues. George was also CSO/CMO and Board Advisor for Mobiliya Technologies, which was acquired by Quest Global. He has held multiple board and advisory roles and is a trusted advisor to many CxOs of emerging companies.
George has 6 USA patents, 2 IEEE publications and interviewed in multiple technology magazines.


Amit Kumar
Amit joined Avataar Ventures in Nov’22 and currently heads the Finance Center of Excellence.
In Avataar, he helps the investee companies in optimizing their financial and operational costs and processes, get IPO ready, and set up and standardize their performance KPIs. He also supports them in budget processes, profitability initiatives, and governance.
Prior to joining Avataar, Amit was the founding member of LOGIQORE, a boutique advisory firm, providing niche advisory services to growth stage SaaS and B2B start-ups in India and the ASEAN region, helping them to re-model their go-to-market strategy, streamline their finance operations, cash flow management, raise funds from investors, and improve their profitability.
Amit comes with more than 2 decades of experience at senior CXO positions in Finance and Operations with startups in Singapore, the Middle East, and India, as well as multinationals like GE Healthcare, Oracle, Schweppes, and Bosch.
Amit is a Chartered Accountant and holds an Honors degree in Finance. He also holds certifications in leadership and mergers and acquisitions from Crotonville. He loves playing golf, is a foodie, and enjoys traveling to different places.


Ashutosh Gupta
Ashutosh joined the firm in 2024 and currently serves as the GTM CoE lead, supporting and accelerating the growth of our portfolio companies. By collaborating closely with founders and stakeholders, he will develop and implement strategies that drive market penetration, profitable revenue growth, and long-term sustainability.
Prior to joining the firm, Ashutosh has nearly two decades of experience working with some of the most dynamic companies and leading growth initiatives across various markets. The first decade he spent with IT services companies (Infosys, Cognizant) in India and the USA, and the next decade with digital companies like Google and LinkedIn in India and Singapore.
His tenure with LinkedIn was special and spanned 11 years. As LinkedIn's India Country Manager for the last five years, he scaled the revenue 3X and the member base 2X. His experience extends across APAC, where he built and scaled the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions mid-market and SMB business, culminating in a $200 million annual run-rate.
These experiences have underscored the importance of a robust go-to-market strategy, which will be the cornerstone of the new Center of Excellence.
Ashutosh graduated as a chemical engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi, India and completed his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India.


Maxence Cacheux
Max supports the growth and success of portfolio companies across Europe and the U.S., accelerating their path to successful exits. His expertise spans enterprise sales strategy, strategic GTM partnerships, key account management, and marketing.
With over 20 years of global experience in the technology sector, Max has worked with industry leaders such as Texas Instruments, Infineon Technologies, Samsung, and multiple startups. He is passionate about emerging technologies and excels at identifying market opportunities, securing high-impact partnerships, and driving revenue growth to turn innovations into commercial success.
Max has held senior executive and co-founder roles in multiple ventures, including Mobiliya, a global enterprise mobility company acquired by QuEST Global and, more recently, at zbyte, where he leads growth initiatives and innovation in the Web3 space.
He holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from ISEN France and an MBA from INSEAD.

Mohan Kumar
Mohan Kumar was the Managing Partner at Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) and has led investment rounds in some of the most successful Enterprise and SAAS startup stories in India.
Before his avataar as a VC, he spent two decades in leadership & operating roles including as Corporate Vice-President of Motorola, responsible for leading their Mobile Products division & scaling their product/design centres across Asia.
He is an IIT undergrad alum with Exec-MBA from Kellogg.


Nishant Rao
Nishant Rao brings expertise in B2B technology & SaaS sales and marketing with a repeat track record of delivering value & globally scaling successful companies in consumer internet & enterprise software with multiple stints of growth past $100M+.
He has played many avatars across a multitude of leadership roles from running global growth-stage SaaS companies achieving unicorn status (Global Head of Strategy, LinkedIn HQ then MD, LinkedIn-India & SE Asia + Global COO @ Freshworks) to being an entrepreneur (helped co-found Epicenter, India’s 1st voice call-center), a C-level strategy advisor (McKinsey) & an engineer/product manager (Ariba & Microsoft).
He has an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Computer Science degree from UT, Austin.
He has been recognized as a 40-under-40 executive by the likes of Economic Times & Fortune for impact created.


Anirudh Singh
Anirudh Singh has been an investor in the Indian technology ecosystem for the last ~15 years. Through his investing career across marquee funds such as Norwest Venture Partners, Alpha Wave Global, Canaan Partners, and B Capital, he has led investment rounds in some of the most successful B2B company stories in India across food delivery, agri-tech, ed-tech, financial services, marketplaces, gaming, etc., across early stage to public markets.
His most recent role was as Managing Director at Alpha Wave Global and Head of AWG’s venture growth fund, Alpha Wave Incubation. At AWG, Anirudh was responsible for running the India, UAE, and South East Asia offices of the fund.
Prior to joining Alpha Wave Global, Anirudh was an investor with B Capital, a $5b technology investment fund, focused on growth equity investment opportunities in the technology space in India and South East Asia.
Prior to that, Anirudh spent 7 years at Norwest Venture Partners, a $9b technology investment fund out of Silicon Valley, covering early stage to public market investments in India across technology, consumer retail, and financial services.
Anirudh started his investing career at Canaan Partners, a $10b technology investment fund out of Silicon Valley, where he spent time evaluating early stage investment opportunities in the technology sector in India.
Anirudh graduated as an electrical engineer from Thapar University, Patiala, India and completed his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.

Shobhit Gupta
Shobhit leads the growth platform team of Avataar and partners with the management teams of the portfolio companies on growth topics.
He brings a mix of management consulting (McKinsey, PwC), SaaS start-up, and large tech industry (Dell) experience.
He specializes in go-to-market planning and execution including identifying attractive market segments with clear right to win and formulating sales pathways to effectively reach them.
Collaborating with and learning from inspiring entrepreneurs and building on India's distinctive advantage to build tech products for global markets excites him.
He holds a Master of Science from Texas A&M University.


Gulshan Dhanani
Gulshan brings in expertise as a SaaS operator, most recently having served as the Chief of Staff to the founders and then as the Head of Revenue Operations at Yellow.ai.
He has worked across multiple GtM themes ranging from GenAI product monetization to account-health scoring, to sales compensation, to international expansion, experiencing a hyperscale growth journey at Yellow.
Prior to that he worked as a Strategy Consultant at Deloitte, managing client engagements across healthcare and financial services.
He started his career as a software engineer with Citigroup.
Still a techie at heart, he's energized to engage with entrepreneurs who are innovating across product and business models.
He has an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a Civil Engineering degree from IIT Roorkee.


Krushi Jain
With years of experience working closely with founders and senior management, Krushi has developed a strong understanding of businesses across diverse sectors.
Before joining Avataar, she served as an Investment Banking Associate at Spark Capital, where she helped founders raise $70 million through three successful transactions in the consumer sector. Prior to that, Krushi worked as a Senior Executive in KPMG's Assurance practice, gaining valuable insights across the automotive, B2B distribution, and IT services industries.
What truly drives Krushi is her passion for working with founders and witnessing their growth journeys firsthand. She takes joy in being part of their success stories. Krushi is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and has cleared Level 3 of the CFA program.
Outside of work, she enjoys discovering offbeat travel destinations, running marathons, exploring new culinary experiences, and relaxing with a good fiction novel and a cup of coffee.


Subhro Sengupta
Subhro comes with experience in B2B businesses, having worked with the founding team at B2B unicorn udaan.
At udaan, he was a part of the Corporate Development team, working on strategy for new businesses and managing strategic investments and M&A. His expertise lies in B2B marketplaces, SME credit, SME SaaS, logistics and all things targeted towards fragmented B2B markets in India.
Prior to udaan, Subhro was a part of the early stage investment team at Kalaari Capital in Bengaluru, where he looked at startups in B2B Ecommerce, Content, Healthtech and Fintech.
Subhro is a National Law University alumnus, with a degree in Law and Economics.

Spurthi Naidu
Spurthi is part of our team as a Operations associate where she actively engages with the portfolio companies in their growth alongside the fund venture activities. Prior to this she was at Let’s Accelerate (Let’s Venture) and worked with the team in designing & managing startup innovation programs. Her early career started with Kalaari Capital Advisors as a HR executive who led Kstart's first Fellowship program.
Spurthi is a Gold Medalist from Bangalore University in her MBA - HR dept.


Ganesh Nayak
Ganesh drives Fundraising & Capital Markets at Avataar. He comes with deep understanding of the venture ecosystem, and relationship with India's top entrepreneurs, VCs, and global institutional investors.
Ganesh has been a founding member of LetsVenture - India’s premier private market platform with over 750 direct startup investments. Some of his marquee deals include PolicyBazaar, Mobikwik, MCaffeine among others. He has also raised capital for global VC funds like Pioneer Fund, MFV Partners, IndiaQuotient among others. He has served on the LP Advisory Board at Pioneer Fund (top decile VC).


Dinky Sanghvi
Dinky Sanghvi has experience of complete life cycle of PE/VC Fund i.e., Fund raise / closings, Capital call, Disbursement to portfolio companies, exit, distribution to investors and winding-down of Funds At Avataar Dinky is setting up & driving Fund Management functions & building internal Finance foundations as an entrepreneurial journey and will play a key part in helping us build a new format global VC platform.
She comes with 15+ years of experience at ICICI Venture Fund Management Co. Ltd. As Vice President Finance, she used to manage Private Equity Funds and Asset Management Company in Finance & operating roles.
She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary.


Surya Prakash
Surya is part of Finance COE, set up under Avataar's BTL (Build to Last) operating model and brings in expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) from large corporates across B2B and SaaS industry. He manages the reporting of Avataar Invested companies and proactively identifies potential improvement areas to build efficiencies in finance and operational metrics.
Before joining Avataar, he managed corporate FP&A for CarDekho Group and business finance for WNS Global Services.
Surya is a chartered accountant and finance graduate from JNVU having 8 years of experience in business partnering. He likes reading books, playing TT, and loves travelling to places.

Sanjeev Kumar
Sanjeev Kumar is a Silicon Valley investor, entrepreneur, and advisor. He specializes in enterprise AI and data management, “tech-bio”, and industrial automation.
For the past seven years, Sanjeev has actively invested in early and mid-stage companies, working with founders from several VC firms and accelerators. Recently, he was a Fellow at Stanford University’s Distinguished Careers Institute, studying the business models behind AI-based enterprise software platforms and products.
Sanjeev has had a long career in enterprise software. He has worked at leading Silicon Valley companies such as Informatica, BEA Systems, EMC, and Oracle Corp., building platforms for machine learning, data engineering, databases, and file systems.
He was the Managing Director of India R&D and a GM for several products at BEA Systems and Informatica Corp. Earlier in his career, Sanjeev was a senior product manager for Oracle’s Oracle8i database.
Sanjeev holds an MS in Computer Science from Rutgers University and a BS in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani, India.


Saurabh Chandra
Saurabh Chandra, a Bay Area expatriate with approximately three decades of professional experience, is currently the Senior Partner & FS Consulting Domestic Head with EY.
He has been a banker, technologist, and entrepreneur. He has been at executive positions with BCG, Amazon, Visa, Flipkart, Oracle, and JPMC, to name a few. He holds eight patents and trade secrets, two books, and five research papers.
He has been a board member and advisor for industry associations, regulators, and policy makers along with companies across the USA, India, and SEA.
He has been conferred with the ‘Indian Achievers Award’ by the government NGO in the field of science, technology, and entrepreneurship. He is an alumnus of IIT K and IIMA.


Sridhar Solur
Sridhar Solur is the CEO of Kenmore's brands at Transformco. He architected the turnaround and transformation of Kenmore and DieHard to growth and profitability.
An industry veteran with 25+ years of experience, Sri, as he is fondly referred to, has a rich history of success leading high-tech products and businesses. He previously served as CPO and GM at Berkshire Grey, a leader in industrial robotics, and was a member of the leadership team that took the company public.
Sri also served as CPO at SharkNinja and was instrumental in bringing the Shark IQ Robot vacuum and NinjaFoodi products to market while also holding a leadership role to take the company public.
Sri spent 20 years at Hewlett Packard, serving as Founder and CPO of CloudPrint, the company’s wearables and IOT business. In his career, Sri has created products for world-renowned brands, including Hugo Boss, Movado, Ferrari, JuicyCouture, and more.
Sri holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from NIT and an MBA from Boston University.
